We’re Back Up and Writing

Where All Computer Problems Start

After two months of silence, I am glad to say my blog is working again. Something happened at the end of May locking me out of Wordpress and making it impossible to update my content. I wish I could give all of you a heads up on what to avoid, but I honestly have no idea what happened.

Friday, I received a message from a technician at my Web Host, A Small Orange, saying he had adjusted something and fixed something else and lo and behold, it worked. Now, I must admit my wife is wanting to take some of the credit as she was trying to fix something on her blog and made some changes to the root or was it the branch? I don’t know. What I am sure of is that after two months of searching Google, Yahoo and my naval for some clue as to why I was locked out of my site, I am back in and loving it.

Now, some of you will say that I am living proof why folks over 55 should not be allowed near computers and to you I…. well, I hope it hurts, whatever happens. I admit to not being the most patient of people and as a man, I certainly put things together first and read the instructions last, but I do know my way around computers. I built the one I am working on right now and my wife may have forgotten, but I built hers, as well. It’s the software and file sharing and networking stuff I can’t seem to understand.

Stuff (and remember computer components are nothing more than electronic stuff) usually goes together in a logical and ordered way. If it won’t go together the first time or the second, well that’s what big hammers are made for, you adjust it. And, if you have need, I have a whole parts bin of extra and left over parts from a number of projects. Just ask me, I will let you know if I have what you are looking for. I don’t understand how those folks in China who build so much of our stuff these days can stay in business with all the extra parts they put in. Now, when most of our stuff came from Japan, it was certainly high quality, but it often seemed to me they made their money by leaving parts out.

Well, bed time for me, but I am glad to be back in the blogosphere and will be posting regularly.

I certainly won’t take credit for fixing your blog since I managed to take my blog down in the process! And I do remember that you built my computer, and am still thankful.

    Glad theperfectsense.com has been resuscitated!
